Description: This exhibit illustrates pertinent steps to remove an intracranial hematoma by creating a craniotomy flap to expose the brain. The dura is incised and the subdural hematoma is suctioned, the dura is lacked back into place with sutures, duragen and foam is placed over the defect before the bone flap is plated back into place with mini plates and screws.
