Description: This exhibit depicts a retroperitoneal hemorrhage formed from undetected injuries to the abdominal aorta, inferior vena cava and right common iliac vein that was caused at the time of a trocar entry during prior surgery. The abdomen is re-opened and these vessels are now repaired using sutures and pledgets.
