Description: Brain Injury - Hypoxia and Brain Damage. Compares normal and hypoxic respiration with resulting damage to the brain and lungs. 1. Orientation of the head and chest with arrows showing oxygen moving from lungs to the brain; 2. Enlargement of an air sac (alveolus) showing oxygen and carbon dioxide going to and from the blood stream; and 3. Shows the small surface vessels carrying oxygenated blood to the brain and hypoxia of brain and lung tissues.
